Ingredients for Dal Pathiri:
For the Dough:
- Maida (All-purpose flour) – 2 cups
- Salt – as needed
- Water – as needed
- Oil – 1 tbsp
For the Dal Filling:
- Toor dal (tuvara parippu) – 1 cup
- Grated coconut – 1/2 cup
- Green chilies – 2 (finely chopped)
- Shallots – 5 (finely chopped)
- Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
- Curry leaves – a few
- Salt – as needed
- Oil/Ghee – 1 tbsp
