Materials Needed:
✔️ Pachamulaku seeds (fresh or dried green chilies)
✔️ Well-draining soil (garden soil + compost + sand)
✔️ Organic fertilizers (cow dung, banana peel water, or vermicompost)
✔️ Watering can
✔️ Coconut husk or dried leaves for mulching
✔️ Neem oil spray (for pest control)
🌱 Step-by-Step Pachamulaku Cultivation
1️⃣ Preparing the Soil
- Use a loose, well-draining soil mix (2 parts garden soil + 1 part compost + 1 part sand).
- Add wood ash or banana peel powder to boost flowering and fruiting.
2️⃣ Germinating the Seeds
- Soak green chili seeds in water for 12 hours for faster germination.
- Sow them ½ inch deep in small pots or seed trays.
- Water lightly and keep in a warm, shaded area until sprouting.
3️⃣ Transplanting the Saplings
- After 3-4 weeks, when the seedlings are 4-5 inches tall, transplant them to a bigger pot or garden.
- Maintain 1-foot spacing between plants.
4️⃣ Watering & Care
- Water 2-3 times a week (keep soil moist but avoid overwatering).
- Use rice water or buttermilk once a week for healthy plant growth.
5️⃣ Organic Fertilization for Maximum Yield
- Every 15 days, mix cow dung manure or compost into the soil.
- Sprinkle crushed eggshells for calcium-rich soil.
- Apply banana peel water or wood ash monthly for more flowers and chilies.
