നമുക്ക് ചെയ്യേണ്ടത് ഇത്രമാത്രമേയുള്ളൂ ആദ്യം നമുക്ക് ഒരു നിരത്തി വയ്ക്കാൻ പറ്റുന്ന രീതിയിലുള്ള ഡ്രം ആണ് ഡ്രം നല്ലപോലെ നിരത്തി വെച്ചതിനുശേഷം അടുത്തതായി ചെയ്യേണ്ടത് എന്തൊക്കെയാണെന്ന് നോക്കാം ഇതിൽ എങ്ങനെയാണ് ഫോട്ടോ തയ്യാറാക്കി എടുക്കുന്നതെന്നും

• 1 large plastic drum/barrel (100–200 liters, food-grade, not used for chemicals)
• Drill or hot iron rod (to make holes)
• Potting mix (garden soil + compost + sand/cocopeat)
• Seeds/seedlings (tomato, brinjal, okra, greens, chili, gourds, etc.)

🌱 Steps

1. Prepare the Drum

• Wash and clean the drum thoroughly.
• Drill drainage holes at the bottom (to prevent waterlogging).
• If you want a vertical garden style, make small side holes (5–7 cm diameter) in rows, spiraling up the drum.

2. Fill with Soil

• Layer the bottom with stones/pebbles for drainage.
• Fill with loose potting mix up to the top.
• For vertical planting, fill little by little and insert seedlings into side holes as you go.

3. Planting

• Top surface: You can plant bigger crops like tomato, brinjal, okra, or chilies.
• Side holes: Best for greens (spinach, coriander, amaranthus), strawberries, or herbs.

4. Watering

• Water gently until soil is evenly moist.
• Side plants need a little extra care at the beginning until roots establish.

5. Care & Feeding

• Place the drum in a sunny area (6+ hours sunlight).
• Add compost/organic fertilizer every 2 weeks.
• Support tall plants (like tomato/brinjal) with stakes.

6. Harvesting

• Greens can be harvested in 30–40 days.
• Fruiting vegetables (tomato, okra, chili) take 2–3 months.
