- Mix 1 tbsp boric acid with sugar and water to make a paste or spray.
- Apply near termite trails and wooden corners.
- Works as a slow poison for termites — they carry it to the colony.
✅ 4. Salt Water
- Mix strong salt water solution and spray into affected wooden furniture and corners.
- Salt draws out moisture and dehydrates termites.
✅ 5. Expose to Sunlight
- If possible, move infested furniture into direct sunlight.
- Termites thrive in dark, moist areas and die in sunlight.
- 2–3 days of sun exposure helps kill hidden colonies.
✅ 6. Essential Oils
- Oils like clove, orange, or tea tree have anti-termite properties.
- Mix with water and a few drops of soap and spray into affected areas.
✅ 7. Cardboard Trap
- Wet a piece of cardboard and place it near the termite zone.
- Termites are attracted to cellulose in cardboard.
- After a few hours, burn the cardboard with termites on it. Repeat as needed.
